This study seeks to examine how forced displacement due to violent conflict affects educational outcomes for refugees and IDP returnees. The study aims to provide a comparative insight into educational outcomes for conflict-affected children in secondary education, describe the current status of access, retention, and completion of secondary education for children with forced migration experience, explore barriers faced by conflict-affected children, and establish promising policies and interventions addressing those barriers.
This study hopes to expand the volume of knowledge in education in emergencies, serve as the research base for providing education to those in fragile and conflict contexts as well as measure the educational outcomes through the lenses of the political economy of education.
