Africa Hub Information Session 30th August – Research and Practice Fellowships in Political Economy of Education

Авг 26, 2021 | Исследовательский центр в Африке

The PEER Network Africa hub is delighted to invite you to attend an information session to launch our Research and Practice Fellowships in the Political Economy of Education. During this session we will explain the aims of the fellowship, details of the programme and eligibility criteria.

As per the launch announcement earlier this year, and as part of our Research and Practice Fellowships the first 3-day workshop will be held during the week of 8 – 12 November 2021.

The workshop entails training whereby fellows/participants partake in debates in Political Economy Analysis. The goal of the workshop is to create a cohort of researchers working on issues of education, conflict and crisis through a critical political economy lens as part of the wider PEER Network. The fellowship aims to advance conceptual and theoretical understandings of the Political Economy Analysis of education and provide training and mentorship on applying for research funding. This will be achieved via workshops, online mentoring and the opportunity to apply for development funding.

The second training workshop attached to this programme will be held in February 2022.

Participants in the programme must be available to attend the workshops in November 2021 and February 2022.

Attending the workshop will give participants:

  • Access to training and understanding Political Economy Analysis provided by key international scholars based in the UK and Kazakhstan
  • Development of ideas and a proposal for research funding tied to the project

Please share with researchers in Africa who may be interested in participating.
