Helga Jansen-Daugbjerg is a researcher and PHD candidate working in the area of Vocational Education and Training (VET). Her work seeks to explore the conceptual underpinnings of race, class and the world of work through the lens of the VET system in South Africa. She asks if there remains evidence of unequal race and class identities in the way policy organizes and thinks of VET? Helga has worked in the Not-For Profit sectors of trade union education, gender and women’s movements and youth development. She is also a media and creative content developer. Her work reflects her commitment to building a just and fair world in which young people are proud to inherit the future of their longing.
