Alexandra Nam

Alexandra Nam is a research assistant at Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education and a specialist at the department of science, innovation and analytics in JSC National Center of Professional Development in Kazakhstan. She holds an MA in Multilingual Education from Nazarbayev University, where during her studies she conducted small-scale research on medium of instruction and national identity in Kazakhstan. Having completed her master’s degree, she assisted in three research projects in Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education and provided data collection and/or data analysis services in a research project in the Research institute of social and gender studies in Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical Institute and a research project conducted by Young Researchers Alliance in Kazakhstan. Her research interests include national identity, gender roles,  and medium of instruction. As an independent researcher, Alexandra is currently conducting small-scale research investigating gender roles in intercultural families in Kazakhstan.
