Kenechukwu Nwagbo is a Ph.D. candidate in education and international development at the University of Cambridge. Her research examines how public and private actors work together to provide education in low-income settings, otherwise known as public-private partnerships for education. Before the Ph.D., she worked as the technical coordinator of the USAID-funded Strengthening Education in Northeast Nigeria States (SENSE) Activity – a systems-strengthening intervention targeting 200,000 children, 5,000 teachers and 100 education managers across conflicted affected regions in north-eastern Nigeria. Most recently, Kenechukwu has worked in global development policy, and has managed research partnerships between leading think tanks across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and prominent development institutions within the ‘Global North’.
